Privacy policy
Last updated: August 9, 2026
1. Who we are
This policy applies to the website ranco-it.com, operated by Ranco-IT SpA, a company incorporated in Chile. For privacy-related questions you can write to us through the contact form.
2. What information we collect
We only collect the data you voluntarily give us when you fill out our forms or contact us by email, WhatsApp or Calendly:
- Full name and email.
- The company or school you belong to and your role.
- Country and, in specific forms, the approximate size of your organization.
- The message or inquiry you send us.
- Basic technical data about your browser and visit (page viewed, date and time) for aggregate measurement.
We do not request sensitive data (health, religion, orientation, personal financial situation, etc.).
3. How we use your data
- To answer your inquiry and arrange an initial meeting.
- To prepare a commercial proposal if we move forward.
- To keep a minimal record of our conversations for continuity of service.
- To improve the site’s content and usability through aggregate metrics.
We process this data based on your consent when you contact us and on our legitimate interest in answering inquiries and managing the business relationship. We do not sell, rent or transfer your information to third parties for commercial purposes.
4. Where your data is stored
We work with infrastructure providers that may store your data outside Chile or your country of residence. The main ones are:
- Cloudflare: website hosting and global content delivery.
- Resend: sending the emails generated by the contact forms.
- Google Workspace: receiving and archiving correspondence.
- Calendly: scheduling meetings when you choose that channel.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy and applies industry-standard security measures. When processing involves transferring data to other countries, we seek to ensure an adequate level of protection or equivalent contractual safeguards, in accordance with applicable law.
5. Retention period
We keep personal data while there is an active business relationship or an open evaluation process, and for up to 24 months after the last contact. After that period we delete or anonymize it, unless applicable law requires us to keep it longer.
6. Your rights
The processing of personal data in Chile is governed by Law 19,628 on the Protection of Private Life and by Law 21,719, which modernizes that framework, creates the Personal Data Protection Agency and takes full effect in December 2026. Under these laws, and equivalent laws in the other countries where we operate, you may exercise the following rights at any time:
- Access: know what personal data we hold about you and how we process it.
- Rectification: correct inaccurate, outdated or incomplete data.
- Erasure: ask us to delete your data when it is no longer needed for the purposes described or you withdraw your consent.
- Objection: object to a specific processing or revoke the consent given.
- Portability: receive your data in a structured, commonly used format, or request its transfer to another controller when technically possible.
- Blocking: temporarily suspend the processing of your data while a request is being resolved.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us through the contact form. We respond within 15 business days at most. If you believe we did not handle your request properly, you may file a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.
7. Cookies and analytics
The site may use third-party cookies or measurement pixels (Meta, Cloudflare Web Analytics) when you arrive from an advertising campaign. These technologies collect aggregate usage data and do not include personally identifiable information. You can block them in your browser settings without affecting how the site works.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when applicable laws change (such as Law 21,719 taking effect in Chile), when the providers we use change, or when the services we offer change. The date of the last update appears at the top of this document.
